museumPASSmusees is the key to more than 100 Belgian museums. It offers Belgian residents one year free adamission to participating museums with their fabulous collections. Furthermore, it also provides access to temporary exhibits free of charge or at a substantial discount. The list of participating museums is constantly being expanded.
It is now possible to visit a museum that you would otherwise not immediately go to or for which you would not pay admission. With museumPASSmusées you have the opportunity to discover the unknown. Perhaps you have an hour off? Just pop into a museum to see some of the works or enjoy the silence. Or to rediscover that permanent collection.
Museums in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels joined forces in this project, which is unique in Belgium. The aim of the pass is twofold: on the one hand, to raise institutional visibility and, on the other hand, to make access to culture easier. The initiative, taken by the entire Belgian museum sector, not only attests to a constructive dynamic, but also to its constant concern to facilitate access to our heritage.
museumPASSmusées is available to everyone. People with a low income status can purchase a museum pass for 10 euros at the ticket counter in participating museums.
The Belgian pass is managed by cvba museumPASSmusées, which was created by four organisations, i.e., the Brussels Museum Council, the Flemish Museum Consultation, ICOM Belgium-Wallonia-Brussels/Museums and Society in Wallonia and publiq vzw.
